These terms govern your use of the website operated by One Bag Reviews (“One Bag Reviews,” “we,” or “us”) at this address (the “Site”). Using the Site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the Site.
Using the Site
The Site publishes trip reports and honest gear reviews for one-bag travelers and offers forms for sending us a note and requesting a spot to submit a report. Use it lawfully and without interfering with its operation or with other people’s rights. In particular, do not:
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive content.
- Scrape, crawl, or submit forms with automated tools without our permission.
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its hosting, or related systems.
- Introduce malware or otherwise disrupt the Site’s security or availability.
Messages and trip report requests
Sending a message or requesting a spot does not oblige us to reply, to invite you to submit a report, or to pay a reward. Trip report submissions are invite-only. Information you submit is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Trip reports and rewards
If we invite you to submit a trip report, you confirm that it describes your own experience with gear you bought, that your receipt is genuine, and that the report contains nothing you do not have the right to share. You grant One Bag Reviews a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, edit for length and clarity, and promote your report on the Site and in our channels, with or without your name as you choose. Rewards are issued at our discretion once a report is approved, in the form described at the time of the invitation, and have no cash value. We may decline or remove a report at any time.
Ownership
The Site and everything on it, including text, graphics, logos, and images, belongs to One Bag Reviews or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own information. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or build on the content without written permission.
Reviews are opinions
Trip reports and reviews on the Site are the opinions of the people who wrote them, based on their own trips. They are not guarantees about how any product will perform for you. Check a product’s own documentation and the seller’s return policy before you buy.
Third-party services
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare and relies on third-party services for bot screening and email delivery. We are not responsible for their availability or practices, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
Warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, One Bag Reviews and its members, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold One Bag Reviews harmless from claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
